WHO WE ARE

The Black Business Council in the Built Environment (BBCBE) is the apex organization of black construction and professional organizations in the country. Established in 2007, one of its main objectives is to engage the government and other statutory bodies to influence the drafting and implementation of appropriate legislation to create an enabling environment for the black constituency in the building and construction industry.

The South African Government adopted a National Infrastructure Plan in 2012. With the plan we aim to transform our economic landscape while simultaneously creating significant numbers of new jobs and strengthening the delivery of basic services.

The plan also supports the integration of African economies. The South African construction market was valued at $29 billion in 2021 and is expected to achieve an AAGR of more than 2% from 2023-2026. During the forecast period, the growth will be supported by investment in transport, electricity, water, and sewage, and housing infrastructure projects.

The South African construction market research report provides a detailed analysis of the South African construction industry’s growth prospects by market, project type, and construction activity. It also provides critical insights into the impact of industry trends and issues as well as an analysis of key risks and opportunities in the construction industry. Moreover, it provides an analysis of the mega-project pipeline, focusing on the development

Stages, participants, and listings of major projects in the pipeline.
